Farming Simulator XBox 360 Video Game Review

Like many other people I used to play a farming simulator on Facebook. I could not get enough of it.  I was good at it.  My son always wanted to help. He wanted to plow the plots and plant.  What he liked the best though was the store.  He loves money in real life so I am not surprised.  That is why I was sure that he would love to play a game of his own without me having to let him on the computer all the time.  Farming Simulator is enriched with outstanding content and many new features, challenging you to take on the role of a modern day farmer.  … [Read more...]

Learning About Family With Hallmark’s SpiritClips

This past week I found out about a great new service called SpiritClips.  Since coming to work at home I am totally guilty of giving my toddler my phone so that I can finish a phone call with a sponsor or give the baby a bath.  He knows how to change the program though and sometimes ends up on things he shouldn't.  I was happy to find out about SpiritClips which is a subscription streaming video service where you’ll have access to great family-friendly content including full length feature movies as well as original short films.  I love this new … [Read more...]

What the Simpsons Can Teach Us About The Law

What the Simpsons Can Teach Us About The Law Although on the surface it looks like a crude children’s show with yellow characters and silly voices, The Simpsons is actually a very intelligent and well written commentary on popular culture and modern society. This animated sitcom, created by Matt Groening, is a satirical parody of middle class America and has been named the best TV series of the 20th century by Time Magazine. My friends at Prime Lawyers asked me what I thought about The Simpsons and the effects these cult cartoons have on kids and … [Read more...]

Mom’s Night In with NickMom

#shop @MotherFunny #NickMom Instant Mom

I have been a stay at home mom for 6 months now.  Or well 6 months and one week because I was put on bed rest. I am about to tear my skin off.  I hardly ever get to go anywhere anymore. Moriah hates to ride in the car. I don't get to do my Birmingham Mommy events because she screams the whole way there.  So I was so ready for a Mom's Night In.  My husband is always willing to watch the kids but with Moriah being fully breastfed still (she hates bottles), I do not get to have much time to myself.   Last week I invited some of my friends over for a … [Read more...]

Chuggington Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue Review

My Gym

We were given a chance to check out the new Chuggington DVD. My son loves Chuggington. He thinks trains are the best thing ever.  I know he is three and he will change but I really like that he likes nice shows like Chuggington. As a parent, I like the messages that Chuggington and his friends bring.  I also like how colorful the show is. The new launch, Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue brings some all new friends for the gang and never before seen episodes. Elijah had a great time 'reviewing' the movie for me by watching the whole thing five times over … [Read more...]
